Well I’m frustrated and angry.  From FILE EXPLORER on windows 11 I cannot search directories.  When I look at indexing search it is paused and yes I restarted it a million times.   I have already read tons of forums and already tried these:

    • Run the indexing troubleshooter
    • Restart Windows Search service
    • Delete and rebuild indexing library
    • Change battery mode settings/respect my power settings
    • Delete and disable Outlook ( I have not but would also disable OneDrive but I have NOT found that solution)
    • Download and install the most recent Windows Update
    • I have NOT checked but read KB5004567 is a cause
    • Restart the computer
    • Remove Outlook from the indexing locations: Image

So far, nothing has worked. This is dreadful and prevents me from searching directories that I do all the time rendering my computer to be nearly useless.

    Any solutions would be helpful!

You have already do a lot of things.

Maybe, you could try also an "in-place" install of Windows 11: just download the windows 11 iso from Microsoft official web site and run the install process choosing to keep all your files and settings.

Then, after the installation will be completed, try to rebuild the index again.
