Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

Really thought they had finally fixed this issue with the latest update to Win11 last week. After update and reboot search indexing restarted, deleted last index and started indexing again. Took 6 days on continuously to finally index 272k items and pending dropped to 0. Outlook index also dropped to 0 pending. First time in 4 months we got this far.
However, after a new reboot and leaving it on overnight in the morning there were 11k item pending indexing and numbers indexed had dropped to 250k. Outlook now has 96 items pending and this just keeps going up. The Win11 indexing status seems to cycle with pending jumping up to 13-13k items pending and the indexed items remaining at 269k and only every so occasionally adding another item indexed. The items pending drops steadily to about 11k items then jumps back to 12-13k items pending.
In the meantime no new emails are indexed with the index remaining at the items indexed when the index rebuild completed.
This problem is really a pain and I can’t understand why Microsoft seem unable to fix it ?
