Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc. 

Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

Has anyine actually dound tbe real aokution to ghis? My personal phone does this as well but not the work one. Very very annoying feature

I am in a similar situation as Bryan. I have a work phone (Pixel 3) and a personal phone (Pixel 4). When I click on links in Outlook on the work phone, I go straight into Chrome. Unfortunately, when I click on links in Outlook on the personal phone, I get directed to this built-in browser.

I'm hoping Microsoft sees all the folks unhappy about this and makes an appropriate change. Until then, I'll probably abandon the Outlook app and use something else.

If someone figures out a fix, I hope they'll share it here!

Unfortunately, this is not a functionality in the app for now :( ! At the moment there is a work around, if you need to open a link in your browser you will need to click the link, then tap on the overflow menu at the bottom and choose "Open in Browser"

But please help us make Outlook better by suggesting it as a feature if you think that would be a nice addition.

Just go to Settings -> Help and Feedback -> Suggest a Feature. Developments are made based on the statistics generated by the users in this area, so don't forget to voice your wishes there!

This means the only properly working workaround is to use a different mail client...

I took the advice that Cosmin provided to you and the request was already listed, so I checked that I want it disabled as well. Unfortunately, there are only 178 "likes" for this, so I don't see Microsoft acting anytime soon. There are several requests with nearly 1000 likes that don't seem to be getting any traction.

As you and others have stated, I think it means I'm using another app I'll remove Outlook.

Same here on Samsun S20.

It also happens on twitter app.

I found in settings a default app list which has tick box for using online browser.

But that has not helped.

I have messaged this thread to Microsoft and outlook on twitter.

The support there has worked.
