Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc.
Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

It's insane. Most annoying thing ever! Microsoft tried to do the same with Windows 10 S on my new surface go 2. If I wanted this type of craziness, I would be using Apple products.
The issue is occurring in Version 4.2038.4 (42038808) it is very annoying!!!
No, that's one of the first things I tried... uninstalling/reinstalling.
The "issue" returned within minutes when Outlook finished syncing with the server.
I've had a hotmail account for 20+ yrs as well, but that's irrelevant to the issue.
Since the behavior started, I've had at least 3 Outlook app updates...within a matter of weeks. I know you're just trying to help, but your solution doesn't work for everyone. So it's not a solution. A Microsoft rep in this forum even stated that it is by design and the devs have no plans or intentions to change this behavior.

Jake - What email client do you prefer? I'm going to have to switch. I'd like one that handles IMAP well. (Outlook never did that right either.)
If it matters, I have email accounts with Gmail, Yahoo and hosted through my web site (which happens to be on BlueHost).
For now, I've been using the gmail app for Gmail, Yahoo, & Hotmail. I too have a website but I tend to use Thunderbird on desktop for that.
Samsung email kind of lacks features such as when I mark something as spam, it keeps a local list which has a limit rather than sync that info to the server, and that limit was 200 or so last time I checked. I've really only used that for the email at my ISP. I don't give that email out to anyone and don't use it for anything other than communication with my ISP. I check it very infrequently usually just to clear out spam that has accumulated.
I'm currently looking into an app called "FairEmail - Open source, privacy oriented email" on Play Store.
I think the biggest issue I've had with IMAP is, some apps don't sync well or properly sometimes. So mail you've filed or deleted sometimes still shows on other devices in the wrong place.
My webhost which I've used since 2003 (Totalchoicehosting.com) comes with unlimited POP3 emails, even on the basic shared hosting plan. So I've mostly used POP3 email for personal use.
I've worked for many places where it was all Exchange Server based, so IMAP. But for corporate security reasons, couldn't use any unvetted app. Had to be approved by IT.
Albeit a pain to use on mobile, there's also always the web version of Outlook if you're really in a bind.
