Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc.

Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

Thanks

Shocking how Outlook cheekily added this "feature" with no option to disable. Nothing but intentionally abusing the users by making them use the edge webview ****. It doesn't even load the sites properly and don't allow upload switch to work

The fix is to uninstall and reinstall the Outlook app.

Yeah, until it syncs with the server... then the issue returns.

Not the fix. There is no "fix"  It's by design with the last update.

I think its until they push the next update, which will likely happen maybe once per quarter. Its been a month for me and no further issues. It may be a temporary fix, but it's a fix, especially for those who have had their Hotmail account for 20 years and don't wish to change it.

It is unfortunately quite obvious, Microsoft wants control over our browsing and wants to keep track so they can better personalize the advertising in the outlook app.

Dear Microsoft, can you please add an option in the outlook settings menu 'open links in the browser, straightaway'.

    This is extremely annoying.

    Listen to your users.
