Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc.
Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

The solution is to uninstall/reinstall the outlook app. This will work until Outlook pushes and update, then uou may have to reinstall again. I've not had an issue and severql days.

If you have to uninstall outook,might as well just install gmail. Been testing it on my rablet, works great.
Good bye outlook. Done with the crappy app.
It seems the only option right now (for mobile) is to click the three dots at the bottom and click open in browser.
Thanks. I uninstalled outlook. It's been going down hill with bugs for years. Poor developer QC. Management always just wants to get the revisions out the door so they can provide an accomplishment. I Know, I came from that kind of envirnoment.
Using Gmail now. See how long it takes for Google to screw that one up.
This is not a "support" issue. It is a design issue. Microsoft made a programmatic decision in the latest version of the Outlook app for Android to make links in emails open in Outlook's internal browser instead of opening in the default browser on the device.
Therefore Microsoft is stomping all over the user's freedom of choice, forcing the user to browse links in Outlook, and probably collecting data about the sites the user visits.
This is unacceptable. There's a reason some people use a specific browser and tweak the privacy settings, use ad blockers, turn off 3rd party cookies, turn on "Do not track", etc. It's MY DEVICE and MY PRIVACY, and I want to control how I use it. Why does Microsoft get to decide how I wish to use my device? At least give the user some options in the settings to turn this behavior off. Even the gmail app has a setting you can toggle that says "open weblinks in gmail".
At it again, like when Windows tightly integrated IE and there was a Antitrust case against them in the late 90's.
Forcing users to use Outlook to view email links is asinine, especially when there's no settings for privacy controls.
Just another case of Microsoft forcing their will and control on their users.

I only used Outlook to be able to quickly check and delete (mostly junk) email on my throwaway hotmail accounts, and it was more convenient than using the Web version. Not anymore. Uninstalling the Outlook app.
