Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Definitely not an isolated Problem, and no common sense (i.e. phone-based) solution

How Ironic is this? I get a notice for this thread, from Microsoft Community, with a link. The link always opens in the Outlook "In App" browser - and not only am I not logged in (Hello MS! I am already logged into Outlook...) but I have to open in browser (Chrome) to view the post unless I want to manually log in

Hey Regile, have you checked with the dev/product team of the Outlook app, as this was something they added in a recent update and possibly your phone hasn't received the update yet? Or maybe they're A/B testing it? Several other reviews on the Play Store from today are mentioning this too (go ahead and look through the reviews, it's not an isolated problem).

Thanks for posting your concern here in the Community. I hope you that you're having a great day, in spite of having issues opening links in your email. Let's try to address your concern.

I wasn't able to replicate your concern here on my end, when I click a link from an email, it opens the specific app. Have you tried reinstalling the app? Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of your device? There could be some settings that needs to be configured, since you've mentioned that it's not happening on your other devices.

Same problem, this makes Outlook completely unusable and means I'll have to uninstall it and use anything else. Studipest decision in the world (they're probably trying to drive usage of Edge... Well guess what, nobody wants it).

Yes very annoying, the strange thing is I have another 2 android devices with outlook and it does not happen on those, if it is a Beta option there is no way to disable it. Hopefully someone with knowledge about this will answer on how to fix this. So far I uninstalled Outlook and now I use Samsung Email app, looks like this is not going to work for microsoft.
