Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc. 

Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

    His is the first post I've come across that describes the exact same problem I've been having. It's SUPER annoying since it doesn't recognize ANY saved passwords and if I want to go back to my email but keep the link open, I have to select the Open in Browser open THEN go back to the app, close out that "browser" before I can get into my email. So many unnecessary clicks/steps. It just started in the past few weeks so it must've been part of a recent update. I would LOVE to see a fix, disable option, something... because it's really annoying.

    Thank you.  I did use outlooks built in support and  that was useless.  They basically told me deal with it because this is the future and that i could always long click the the link and choose "open in browser". Well guess  what, thats not an option when i long click a url in outlook.  The only options it gives is "open link" which just opens in the outlook internal edge browser or "copy link" so im forced to copy the link close outlook and then  open chrome paste the link go to the url.  Chrome already has login credentials cached browser history everything.  This trimmed down version of edge is just a pain.  Another total pain this creates is if you ever open a link in outlook and download something through this dumbed down version of edge all your downloads go to

    "/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.microsoft.office.outlook/files"

    So thats wonderful doesnt even save it to the downloads folder like a real browser does it dumps it in the outlook attachments folder and since this isnt a full browser theres no place to change it.

    Microsoft support is doing NOTHING to resolve this issue.   On 7/11/2020, Support told me this issue would be fixed in release 4.2026.1, but that was a lie.  

    Whoever at Microsoft had the stupid idea to FORCE users to use their crappy Outlook In-App browser should be immediately fired!!

    • Users specifically download apps to open specific links on their phone.
    • Each phone type has a default app section, so users can SPECIFY which apps to use.

    WHY would Microsoft think users want to be FORCED into using their crappy Outlook in-app browser?  

    No one wanted to use IE nor Edge, so WHY would you think this was a seller idea???

    I've stood by this horrible app for years, but this is my breaking point!!

    Remove the in-app browser being forced upon us!!!

    I'm having the exact same issue!!!   The Outlook for Android app will only open hyperlinks using their neutered, non-functional browser.   No password management extensions, or anything.   I use extremely complex passwords for everything, and your Outlook browser is complete trash.   What good is opening a website if you have no way of logging in?????

    I have Microsoft Edge on my phone...why wouldn't Outlook use that?   

    Everything is going BACKWARD!!!   We're losing capability.   I'm not a fan of gmail, but do we all need to port over to that now?

    I'll take the one guy's advice, amd send a message to support via the app.
