Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc.

Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

Thanks

You are not alone in your loyalty and I've been on the same journey and a huge public advocate of MS from having the very first Windows phone to the very last windows phone. I kept them all and there was a day i could sell them for a good fee... Sadly MS behaviour makes them worthless now as they are not on the desirable list anymore!

Why they have stopped listening is anybodies guess. If the consumer market is not of interest they should declare it and get out. Ironically the consumer often is the same person at the large enterprise making IT decisions so its not safe to assume one market will not influence the other.

I wonder this is because the default web browser we set is not Microsoft Edge. Mine is Google Chrome which I'm very comfortable with and not want to change.

It doesn't make any difference whether your default browser is set to MS Edge or Google Chrome or anything else. The whole point is that this "feature" ignores your default browser, and uses a "mini-browser" built into Outlook for Android.
