Using Outlook for Android in business environments for email and scheduling
Thanks for confirming. Outlook is now uninstalled because of this.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc.
Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.
Thanks

So, I just recieved this response from the Outlook team:
This will probably get deleted...
Hi Jason,
This is a new Edge webview experience with the Bing search capabilities which is expected. There is no way to disable this at the moment. However, if you want to open a link in the default browser, you will need to click the link, then tap on the overflow menu at the bottom and choose "Open in Browser". I hope it will work for you. Anything else I can assist you further?
I received rhe following about it. I'm not happy, it just makes everything take longer.
Thabk you for contacting Outlook Mobile Support. It will be my pleasure assisting you today!
Links in an email or event in Outlook will now open in an integrated Edge webview within Outlook. This helps keep our users in the context of their email while tackling quick tasks.
If you wish to go to your default browser, please tap the overflow menu at the bottom and choose Open in Browser.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Do let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Here also switched to Gmail app.
Response from support is laughable but not unexpected...
"Hi Daniel! Welcome to Outlook Mobile In-App Support for Android. 😊
This is part of the new Edge Webview feature being rolled out. If you prefer to open a link in your default browser, just click the link, then tap on the overflow menu at the bottom and choose "Open in Browser".
If you have concerns with the new design or have another thought about it, please send your suggestions through the "Suggest a feature" option in our app. To suggest a feature, tap on the gear icon (upper right) > Help & Feedback > Suggest a feature. Would there be anything else that I can assist you with?"
