Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc.

Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

Thanks

My phone has that switch in settings for all apps. Microsoft Outlook was somehow able to disable the manufacture settings and it's grayed out for only Outlook so I can't toggle it back and forth.

Yeah, because Microsoft Outlook developers think they know better than the user regarding how the user wants their phone/app to behave. That is the issue, can't change the setting because M$ wants to force you to use a certain workflow, rather than let the user have a choice. Bad design idea, imho.

It only worked for a week for me. I had to go through the faff of setting all my accounts up again.

If it is a choice between reinstalling outlook again and again or choosing a new provider; I'll go with the latter.

What a real pain when the developers could easily just code a toggle switch or check box in settings to "Open links in Outlook" that you could toggle off or uncheck, but noooooo.

Permanent solution, switched to gmail (which has that setting).

Is that Clear Cache or Clear Storage? Or both? I have both options in the Outlook app settings.

    You should use Clear storage.

    Cache cleaning doesn't help.

Also cleaning storage cleans cache too.
