Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Hi, I noticed that all my links in my Android Outlook app open in an in build browser instead of the app, (such as youtube) This is really frustrating as I have to do other steps to find the option to 'Open in browser' so it then opens in the youtube app. This is for all links amazon, twitter etc. 

Is there any way to disable this option? I am unable to find it in settings withtin the app.

    I hope you understand people concern that it is frustrating.

    Yes it is..esp for Linkedin..you get directed within app and it is very very difficult to come back and see emails etc..

    Its so annoying..pls allow us to disable this feature.

    This is MUST and a user need as design thinking.

    If not i am sure ppl will move to gmail app.

    Pls respond with resolution

    Hi All,

    As I've mentioned on my last response. I would highly recommend that you use Outlook for Android's in-app support feature to get in touch with our Outlook for mobile dedicated support team. Here's an article to guide you on how to use it.

    If you have any other concern, simply post back in the Community.

    This is a joke.  Obviously Microsoft is steering the links to the internal browser.  It had been set up for links to open in Chrome and it changed on it's own.  It forces one to copy the link and manually paste in Chrome.  Very annoying.  You are only going to turn customers off and we will be forced to use Gmail instead of Outlook.

    Incorrect. I was using a simple hotmail address, not Office365 account, not a corporate email or exchange server. Why is it so hard to simply accept that Microsoft did this on purpose as a programmatic decision?

    Besides, nothing in the Device Admin Apps has anything to do with whether a link is opened by Outlook or the default browser on the device.

    Even with it deactivated as  a Device Admin App, the option to Set As Default in the app settings (device level, not in-app settings) is still greyed out.

    The solution (unless Microsoft changes the app) is one of the following:

    1. Live with it.
    2. Long press links and choose "Open Link".
    3. Click the 3 dots in Outlook and choose "Open in browser".
    4. Uninstall Outlook and use something else like Samsung Email or Gmail app that doesn't exhibit this behavior.

    My phone has that switch in settings for all apps. Microsoft Outlook was somehow able to disable the manufacture settings and it's grayed out for only Outlook so I can't toggle it back and forth.

    I think that it is because outlook is registered as device admin.

    This could happen if you are using company address.

    Try to disable it in phone settings.
