Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

Try uninstalling the Outlook app and then reinstalling. I had to do it twice back to back, but I havent had any further issues and its been over a month. I suspect i may have to do it again when they do regularly scheduled updates, but ill see. I think its a small price to pay to keep my 20 year old hotmail account.

There is the provider (in this case Microsoft), the email account (in this case hotmail) and then there is the email client (in this case the Outlook app).

You can change your email client without losing your email account. You can access hotmail accounts via other clients like gmail, Samsung email, and tons ofnother email apps (email clients) available on the app store.

Dear Microsoft, this update is annoying your users. Do you (1) want to roll back the forced outlook browser (when a link is clicked in Outlook for Android), or (2) will we follow a similar path as you did for IE: users simply stop using it and the application will be discontinued after another 10 years when you have caught up and find out forcing your will upon your users simply does not work?

I solved the issue by uninstalling the app, and installing the previous version.

Of course, you have to disable auto-update.

I hope it will be fixed with the next update, but for now it works fine.
