Outlook for Android opening links in internal browser

I have the exact same issue on my android, yes I have reinstalled it.

Every link opens in a built-in browser for outlook, then you have to tell it to open in your browser.

Problem is, many of the links I try to open are secure links that don't work once it loads on the outside browser.

Outlook has always been an email client, the best one, until someone wanted to integrate a browser into it.

I'm beyond frustrated, there should be a way to turn it off but there isn't one.

Microsoft keeps changing UI's and other things when Windows 7 was the first homerun since NT5 (2000 Pro).

It's windows, not a mac; please keep it that way.

Yes! And they need to open the site inside Outlook, because otherwise they don't get that data :)

Obviously "they" have many ways of getting data from us, like websites, social media and apps we access, but the content of our e-mail SHOULDN'T be one of these ways.

That's because the Secrecy of Correspondence is a fundamental legal principle on which western society was founded, being safeguarded by pretty much every Constitution. And guess what, an e-mail is a correspondence.

That being said, although "they" have technical means to reach our e-mail content, that doesn't mean they are allowed to do it.

If they still do it or not, that's something I'll let to you and your tin foil hat friends to think about.

The point is: by forcing us to open links received by e-mail in their app, giving us no choice, they find a way to legitimate their access to that content, at the expense of our Constitutional rights. In other words, it's a way of allowing "them" to use that information in a legitimate way, regardless of whether they already had access to such information without we opening the links.

I have uninstalled Outlook because of this ridiculous "feature". They just want one more way to get information about us, knowing wich websites we open to send us better directed ads.

I encourage everyone to join me and uninstall this piece of cr... Use Gmail instead.

Because, of course, Google would never try to get information about us to send us better directed ads.

You missed the point. All of them want our data, but at least Gmail let us open links in a browser of our choice.

I recomend preferably to use third party e-mail clients, but considering this opening-links-problem even Gmail is better than hotmail/outlook.
