Outlook displays scrambled text, screen all over the place

Hi,

I have a user who has been having an issue with opening Outlook. when opening outlook the entire display shows scrambled text and missing tabs, this occurs randomly and seems to not have a pattern. I can close and re open Outlook and the problem will go away. This is Outlook on Office 365, Version 2112(Build 14729.20260) I have been working with the user for almost a month and have tried applying Dell Command updates, changed screen resolutions, disabled add-ins, ran Office repair, uninstalled and re-installed office, applied latest Office and windows updates and the issue continues to resurface. I am not sure what to try at this point besides maybe wipe the computer or replace it (which are last ditch options. Anyways, below is some info on the version of Office and hardware specs, Please let me know. I attached screenshots and have whited out certain info for PII protection as well. Have a look, thanks.

    Yes... This renders Outlook practical useless. I sometimes have multiple emails opened to either multitask or cross share information between emails. When the Outlook screen gets scrambled, nothing is viewable, so the only thing is to shutdown and restart Outlook but then I risk lose all the data that's not saved or sent. The scrambling also impact the popup dialog asking if you want to save unsent/unsaved items, but I can't even make out the position of the button to click it, and hotkeys like Y or S don't seems to work in these cases.

    You also nailed another key issue - MS spent so much efforts moving things around between updates that we didn't ask for, so we don't even have enough muscle memory to approximate where a button might be to blind navigate when the screen is scrambled like this.

    Hey everyone I'm back. Nice to see I am not the only one that has come across this weird and annoying issue since posting this. Unfortunately the issue had to happen about 2-3 times a week on Outlook only since the original date of this post. No other user that I provide support to has experience this issue at all. The company my user works for decided to provide her a brand new laptop with the same version of Office 365 installed. Not sure how that will fix an issue that seems to be directly related to Office and not the laptop itself but so far since Monday she hasn't experienced this bug. I guess Microsoft is just going to go ahead and ignore this bug like someone else mentioned in the replies. Sigh

    Hi All,

    3 of my users out of 300 users are experiencing this. 2 users have Dell Vostro's 5410 the other has an old Toshiba.

    I have updated the O365 suite to the latest version. Confirmed Windows updates are the latest. So far the below steps seem to help but do not permanently fix the issue. The issue can't be replicated whenever I want, it appears to be intermittent and I can't detect any pattern to the lead up of the scrambled outlook.

    1. Update graphics card or on-board graphics card by going into device manager, locating the make and model of graphics card and then searching on their website for the latest driver.
    2. Sign out of office account and sign back in.3. Check for any office updates.4. Go into Windows 10 Settings > display> graphics settings > add Outlook and set it to "high performance"

    If Microsoft could provide a permanent fix that would be very appreciated :-)

    I have the same issue.

    Only cure so far is to restart Outlook

    MS Please address this. We are paying customers.
