Hi,

I have a user who has been having an issue with opening Outlook. when opening outlook the entire display shows scrambled text and missing tabs, this occurs randomly and seems to not have a pattern. I can close and re open Outlook and the problem will go away. This is Outlook on Office 365, Version 2112(Build 14729.20260) I have been working with the user for almost a month and have tried applying Dell Command updates, changed screen resolutions, disabled add-ins, ran Office repair, uninstalled and re-installed office, applied latest Office and windows updates and the issue continues to resurface. I am not sure what to try at this point besides maybe wipe the computer or replace it (which are last ditch options. Anyways, below is some info on the version of Office and hardware specs, Please let me know. I attached screenshots and have whited out certain info for PII protection as well. Have a look, thanks.

Outlook Dev is still investigating a fix. They have tried a couple different fix rollouts, but they caused other issues. Graphics issues are often very hard to isolate and fix so it's taking a lot longer than other bugs. I apologize for the frustration. Just know it's being worked as a highest priority issue. I'll post back when I know we have an update.

Running into the same issue with some of my end-users. I opened a case with Office 365 support, which verified that this is a known issue that they're actively investigating.

In the interim, they are recommending that the application is re-installed, using their Office Deployment tool, using their "config" generator, to set up updates for the "Semi-Annual" Channel. Still actively monitoring this with my case, but they informed an update should be the work to fix this.

    Hi Gabriel,

Has there been any updates on this issue?

I have a ticket open with multiple end users that I would love to close.

    Cheers,

    Kellie

    Kellie,

Graphics Dev is still working on the issue. The team checked in a fix in version 15219.10000 but I am not sure yet if it is turned on in external builds. If you wanted to test when that change is first available it will be in the Beta channel. Beta channel is currently on build 15225.20000, so it should have the change if it is turned on externally. If I get confirmation if that change is external I will post back. I think the team is still trying to verify if this initial change helps and then will likely have a more comprehensive change once they know for sure.

Replying to myself again as an update. Even with a new laptop my user still experiences this problem with Outlook 2-3 times a week. Microsoft are letting us down on this one.
