Gmail sent emails getting saved as draft

When I send an an email through my gmail account via the Outlook IOS mobile app, the sent email shows up a draft in gmail on my desktop browser. It doesn't show up as a sent email in thread. How do I make sent emails show up as sent and not as a draft?

I tried deleting and reinstalling Outlook on my iphone X. Interestingly, it worked for the first few minutes and then it started saving as draft again. I'm not sure if there was some minor update in between hard re-installs.

    It seems that a lot of people have the same issue and this is really frustrating. They should know already that deleting/re-installing the app is not a solution and our patience is running out.

    Please find out what is happening soon or you’re gonna loose even the most loyal and dedicated customers and users as I just can’t cope with the app seeing DRAFTS in my inbox!!!

    Just fix that bug!!!

    It was an unspecified iOS update this week. Since then however I can report that nothing has changed at all - I'm still seeing drafts for every single reply or email I send from Outlook for Mac.

    I’d be happy to know where are you located that update. I have not seen an update for Outlook and I am having the same problem. It’s been going on for about two weeks now. And I am in the middle of trying to find a job. So it looks really unprofessional when I think I haven’t sent an email to a potential interviewer and I resend it because the “Draft” came up. I wish MS would fix this!

    I have same issue. Chatted with Microsoft and they couldnt help resolve issue and simply sent me in a circle.  I did the EXACT same steps. Very frustrating. More interestingly, since I could not resolve, I tried to open a new gmail account, only to have same issues with new account. I was not able to send emails and it went straight to drafts.

    i just read previous responses, it appears Im not the only one having this issue. Hopefully, it gets resolvedsoon.

    Incredibly silly problem that they should fix quickly - tiresome to have to delete drafts that are ultimately sent
