This is quite clearly not a priority for Microsoft from the interaction with support that many posters have reported here. There have been, I think, three updates since I first posted about this - which wasn't that long ago, so I think that underlines this
point even more.
SO, as MS are ignoring us, let's take this to the app stores and post 1 star reviews pointing this issue (and only this issue) out. If enough of us do this it will have an impact on downloads and that will force the issue higher up the priority tree. I hate
doing things like this - the app is free after all, but we have all invested our time in embracing this software into our work and private lives and having created that link it's important that MS listens as this reflects out to their wider business reach.
