Gmail sent emails getting saved as draft

When I send an an email through my gmail account via the Outlook IOS mobile app, the sent email shows up a draft in gmail on my desktop browser. It doesn't show up as a sent email in thread. How do I make sent emails show up as sent and not as a draft?

I tried deleting and reinstalling Outlook on my iphone X. Interestingly, it worked for the first few minutes and then it started saving as draft again. I'm not sure if there was some minor update in between hard re-installs.

    same here with 2 separate Gmail accounts. i noticed to day after deleting the ap and reinstalling AGAIN that it seems to work fine until I open Outlook on my computer. then the mobile sent messages change back to drafts.

    both of my Gmail accounts sync differently (one uses GSync and is a work account, and one is a basic free gmail account using IMAP).

    both addresses have the same result.

    Exact same problem here. A personal account, not within Google apps. Been for a while now. Downloaded Gmail app today. I've been patient for weeks. No more Outlook for me, at least not until this bug is fixed.

    Just wanted to raise my hand on this one.

    This is a persistent issue for my primary Gmail account in Outlook for both IOS (iPad) and Android (S10) and is becoming very frustrating having to double check every email I send has actually gone out and then clear down the superfluous Draft items.

    C’mon MS - sort it out please!

    It was an unspecified iOS update this week. Since then however I can report that nothing has changed at all - I'm still seeing drafts for every single reply or email I send from Outlook for Mac.

    I’d be happy to know where are you located that update. I have not seen an update for Outlook and I am having the same problem. It’s been going on for about two weeks now. And I am in the middle of trying to find a job. So it looks really unprofessional when I think I haven’t sent an email to a potential interviewer and I resend it because the “Draft” came up. I wish MS would fix this!
