Gmail sent emails getting saved as draft

When I send an an email through my gmail account via the Outlook IOS mobile app, the sent email shows up a draft in gmail on my desktop browser. It doesn't show up as a sent email in thread. How do I make sent emails show up as sent and not as a draft?

I tried deleting and reinstalling Outlook on my iphone X. Interestingly, it worked for the first few minutes and then it started saving as draft again. I'm not sure if there was some minor update in between hard re-installs.

    Hi Bryant Yu,

    Thanks for reaching out in our Community forum. I hope you're doing fine despite the fact that you're having issues with your Outlook iOS mobile application and Gmail. I understand that it's confusing when you've seen an email was sent, but upon accessing a different application it still shows in the Drafts folder as if it was not sent. Let's work on resolving your concern. 

    This could be a sync issue, but I would still like to ask some questions for us to pin point the exact cause. Please answer the following questions below:

    1. When you mentioned that you are sending an email through your Gmail account using the Outlook iOS app, have you noticed if the message was removed from the Drafts folder in the Outlook app after the email was sent?
    2. Have you tried using other browsers to check if the email would still show up on the Drafts folder in Gmail?
    3. When did the issue start?

    I checked the bug and it is still being worked on.  We don't have a fix version yet.  Apologize for the delay.

    I’m having the same issue intermittently with my corporate gsuite account from my iphone.  Message says it was sent and then appears as draft and is not sent.  I have not changed anything though app may have auto-updated recently.
