How many people can meet in a Microsoft Teams video meeting? Is there a limit to internal and external guests?

If guests join on the web does this limit the number of external guests in a meeting?

Thank you,

Diane

Is it 300 now?  with up to 10k listen-only?   If so, has anyone verified they had a teams mtg w/ 300+ with the expected behavior?  (first 300 have full interaction, 300+ attendees get view only).

On the link above, there's a section that says:

    300. View-only allows for up to 10,000 listen-only participants to join a meeting in which the organizer has a license for E3/E5/A3/A5 SKU, as well as, Government (GCC, GCC High, DoD). Learn more about the View-only experience.

Either I am crazy, or I am seeing it is 1000 now up to 20,000 for view only!

    Feature Maximum limit
Number of people in a meeting (can chat and call in) 1000, includes GCC but not yet for GCCH or DoD. View-only allows for up to 20,000 listen-only participants to join a meeting in which the organizer has a license for E3/E5/A3/A5 SKU, as well as, Government (GCC, GCC High, DoD). Learn more about the View-only experience.

    Hi Diane,

The maximum at the moment is 250 of people in one Teams meeting. This goes regardless of application (web or desktop) or whether the attendees are guests or users.

For more information, please refer to the article - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams.

Feel free to let me know if you have more questions.

    Best regards,

    Nemanja

    Good day,

Has there been any update to the number increase from 250?

    hi Nemanja,

just checking on the 250 limit for people in a Teams meeting. is that still up to date or depends by org/license? The article shows up to 1000 participants possible (before moving into a one way broadcast or then setup as Teams Live event required). Many thanks, Erwin.
