Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
Was this new Outlook for Mac? I tried this and it did not work because the contact is not editable. I then tried making a 'correct' contact in the hope it would sync but it did not.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
When I switch to the new version of Outlook on my Imac, my name from my imap account will be changed to my e-mail address.
How can i resolve this?
Thanks!

hi- how to do this? please explain step by step ? thank you.
- Tools > Accounts
- Click on IMAP account, then click the minus sign at the bottom to remove it (if it's not there yet, skip this step)
- Click plus sign
- Enter email address for IMAP account (if it automatically configures and doesn't take you to the "Choose the provider for" screen, then enter a fake email address like *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, you can fix it later)
- On the "Choose the provider for" screen, turn off the Sync with Microsoft Cloud switch
- Click IMAP
- Enter the email address, password, and incoming and outgoing server address (and port numbers, if required)
- Under incoming server address, choose "Use SSL to connect"
- Under outgoing server address, choose "StartTLS"
- Click "Add Account"
- After the account is accepted, change the Full Name in the Accounts window
Hope this helps.

Finally something that works.
Microsoft sucks, but I have to use it sometimes.
Hey Guys, WE FOUND A WORK AROUND THAT WORKED FOR US.
Download Outlook on your iPhone and login with your imap and set your display name there.
It then updated it on my mac as well.
Hope this also works for you.
Best Regards.
