Really Microsoft? I've been staring at this same issue for well over a year and still no fix for it? I'm trying to like you Microsoft but you're making it really difficult for me to stay in this relationship. No matter what I try, I cannot find any reliable fix to simply change the outgoing name on my emails and there is no where intuitively obvious that I can see to fix it. Deleting and recreating the account doesn't work. But then again, should I really have to go through all that headache to fix something that should work in the first place and that I'm paying for? Get with the program Microsoft.

    Hi Guys,

Found a way to change Full Name.

    1. First I changed my preferred Account Name under Account Description (Allen D'Souza).
    2. Press the down ward arrow next to three dot icon in the bottom left and press reset account. Then your outlook will restart.
    3. Some times in the above step, the full name changes as mentioned in Account Description if not, follow the next step.
    4. After Outlook restart if the Full Name is not changed, try renaming the Account Description as (Allen - D'Souza) yes just adding Hyphen between the name and reset the account again it will definitely change to the Account description as you wanted in Step 1.
    5. Worked for me thought I should share it with all the users in here.

    Hope it works, enjoy fellas.

I have had this very problem for simply ages. Solution i found was to....

Go to an email in the INBOX and open

Click on the account name/ email address under To:

This will semi open an address contact card

Click on the address contact card icon on the far right

This will open the address contact card for the account

Change the name required for the account and remove any email addresses associated with it

    Save

    voilà
