When I switch to the new version of Outlook on my Imac, my name from my imap account will be changed to my e-mail address.

How can i resolve this?

Thanks!

Indeed the mentioned solution also works for me. turning off the "Sync with Microsoft Cloud" allows you to change the sender name.

On the other hand, a resolved problem causes a new problem to appear. When you do this, it is no longer possible to pin an email to keep it at the top of the inbox.

This function is very useful for me. So I have to choose between the "pin" option and the "change my sender name" option.

On the new version of Outlook Mac, it is also not possible to set up rules for IMAP accounts.

It's so frustrating that Microsoft isn't doing anything to fix all of these issues.

If anyone has a better alternative or solutions for these problems, I'm interested.

The workaround has been listed by a few helpful replies. I am stubborn and prefer to wait till Microsoft fixes it and I just turn off the new version whenever I restart Outlook.

    My Solution:
    Using the "old" Outlook.

    Otherwise:
    Use another E-Mailprogram

It's really ridiculous we have to go to these lengths to fix this issue. I hope Microsoft is listening.
