I have sent items on my phone that does not appear on my sent items in Outlook in desktop. I tried to look for configuration for sent items in the app, same thing with the desktop where you can set Outlook to save sent items, but I couldn't find any.

    Hi Joseph,

The folder was created on macOS mail but I tried it on macOS outlook too with success (it took about 5-7 minutes for it to show up on the iPhone).

The moved content was not immediately available in all places, again it took some time to start showing up in the mac ( for this drill I was looking at it directly in icloud.com mail, the mail app on macOS and outlook on macOS). It showed up for all of them at about the same rate.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

    Mark

Same problem here, but for those of us that do NOT want to lose all our sent mail on our phones:

The best / easiest way I've found is to go into that "Sent" folder on your iphone, Tap and hold on one message to "Select" it and you will see an option at the top of the screen to "Select All".... Once you do that MOVE THEM to a folder that DOES sync with your IMAP account properly (for me I created a "iOS Sent" folder). Then on the computer move them to the correct sent items folder.

This stinks and I wish they would fix it, hopefully soon!

    Best,

    Mark,

I’m curious as how you got the content to be visible in a new mailbox folder. I’ve tried moving content to both a new folder and existing folder without success. Maybe there is something in how the folder was created.

What application did you use to create the new folder and was it done on a computer or IOS device?

Assuming you executed the move via IOS Outlook. IOS iPhone or IOS iPad?

Was the moved content immediately visible? Visible on IOS Mail, Mac computer mail, or both?

I have the same issue with Outlook on iOS. I have been dealing with it for the past year. I was in contact with Microsoft's support team through the app. They had me delete and re-add the account which seemed to solve the issue for a day or two, and then the sent items on my iPhone never appear in IMAP sent folder on Outlook for desktop or my Outlook on my Macbook. This is very frustrating.

This isn't limited to one account. The behavior occurs with all 3 IMAP accounts I have configured on my phone.

The most they told me is that it's an issue with my SMTP server configuration, which I know cannot be the case as Outlook for desktop and other email client apps sync emails just fine.

There must a serious bug with Outlook for iOS.

I agree. Thi is is very frustrating.  I’ve also been fighting it.  The biggest issue is the same account with the same smtp settings work on other iOS devices.   It’s a outlook iOS issue as it was working and after one of their updates stopped.  And frankly their support as well I ruined as it may be is not worth the time as they only want you to delete and reinstall.  I can’t do that as there are several thousand emails that would be lost.

I’ve turned to Spark email.  Have had no issues and it’s a much better product.  I’d come back if Microsoft gave a ****.
