Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

I fully concur with using BlueMail.

IMAP hasn't worked for over a year now.

Outlook keeps on blaming our ISPs yet the ISP'S settings work seamlessly with BlueMail the first time round.

Outlook used to have descent support, at some stage I used to think it was the best in Microsoft, but alas, it is non-existent.

I wonder what their (Outlook's) endgame is?

BlueMail and GMail work first time with my ISP, but Outlook (even when it can login) fails to download my Inbox contents. Unusable for IMAP. Only reason I've not ununstalled it is I can't find another client that works with my Windows 10 Calendar.

Agree with the comments re poor Outlook for Android support. I wondered if StartTLS might be my problem, but couldn't find anyone who could even tell me if StartTLS was supported.

Check this! I had the problem of a trailing Space which I entered accidentally after the username. It happened again and again due to auto-fill of the android keyboard.

@Microsoft: Can future versions of the software trim this input for any trailing (or prefix) spaces ?
