Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

I've now got comfortable using BlueMail, which sets up intelligently, and runs smoothly.

It is sad that we have to use BlueMail/TypeApp to get the IMAP email working. Microsoft apparently has zero interest to fix the bug introduced in the October 2020 update.

I've now noticed that their App support now does not work at all. It's been three    weeks and they don't answer. Very Poor showing.

BluMail works like a dream. Pity they can't link to other calendars except Google,    otherwise I would have deleted Outlook app altogether.

Thats strange I have my hotmail/outlook plug google calendars both connected to BluMail and I have certainly deleted the outlook app entirely.

I love it how the Microsoft agents disappear from the thread when all their copy and paste suggestions fail to work, this microsoft answers forum has been like this for years.  Sometimes the threads even get closed when there is not solution found to the original issue.

I have the same situation and experienced exactly the same with Android Outlook POP3/IMAP/SMTP account settings issue and the approach of support contacts what you wrote, still with the latest version too, which is currently 4.2123.0.

Galaxy own email app works well with different accounts, but its calendar has syncing problems.

Several calendar entries aren't syncing and impossible to force the correct syncing of these entries. And this calendar replication/syncing issue persists in several Calendar apps, also in Google calendar. So it seems the base of this calendar syncing issue is an Android OS level bug.

Only the Outlook Calendar is syncing correctly (and the OneCalendar too, which also worked well on Windows 10 mobiles).
