Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

    Thanks for your helpful suggestions.  Unfortunately, I still have a problem with downloading my mail after trying smtp port 587 instead of 465 (my password was always simple).  My ISP supports smtp on 587 and 465.

    First time after creating the imap account I can connect ok, but then OfA hangs downloading the email messages.  I eventually get a message asking me to login again, followed by the message saying it's downloading the emails again (in a permanent loop)

    I'd have thought these symptoms relate to the incoming imap server configuration, rather than the smtp configuration as reported.

    Have you tried the Connectivity Tester?  

    https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/-> Exchange Server -> IMAP Email.

    I tried the connectivity tester imap test but I can't enter an oath test account when requested as my phone browser displays a blank screen at that point. I've persisted with ofa and now have email messages downloaded. However it now keeps asking me to reenter my password before each interaction, until I restart the app. Although this seems like an ISP issue, other email clients are unaffected and previous versions of ofa before 4.2101.0 also worked.
