Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

    Do not expect the Microsoft support to help you :-)

    The words Microsoft and support are mutually exclusive, I too have the same issue with adding an IMAP account, you would think such a major bug would be fixed up promptly but nope.

    Time to find a new mail client for android, does anyone have any recommendations?

    I've been using BlueMail since OfA stopped working with IMAP/SMTP., and have no issues.

    TypeApp, Bluemail, Aquamail and even Samsung's own email app works with IMAP severs. I just check outlook as and when MS rolls out an update. At least with the latest 4.2045.2, I was able to add my mweb account with the ISP's correct ports.

    Have you tried sending them screenshots of a log?

     Have you tried setting up an IMAP account on your server and walking them to set it up themselves on OfA?

    Yes, I've sent screenshots of both the IMAP and SMTP logs, showing successful connections. 

    And yes, I've set up an account for them to try.
