Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

Further to my post of this morning. 6 hrs into the day outlook is still functioning. I have shut it down and restarted several times.  As default email account I have my personal outlook.com setup. Using my mweb account as default slowed sending mail out. Microsoft on PC consistently report that the mweb certificate is out dated.  In addition to the two accounts mentioned I have my own Gmail account (set up this morning) plus a client's email allocated to me running through the client's domain.

All four accounts are working at the moment. 🤞🤞🤞

How does one update Outlook on Android?

For me it  shows up as available in Google playstore. I don't have auto update activated in the Google playstore settings. This gives you the option to decide if you want to use the available version of an app.

My playstore doesn’t give me the option to Update Outlook.  There’s only an Open button that opens my current version

    Hi!

This is off-topic (see actual question).

Please wait for the play store providing you with new updates or ask a new question for your needs - thanks!

    Kind regards,

    Gerald
