This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.
I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).
Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.
First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.
I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.
What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

Success. Eventually. I had previously tried using advanced settings and configuring the server and ports manually because when IMAP connectivity was lost last time (after March updates) it was the only way to get it working again. This time, I again tried the manual configuration and also tried just selecting IMAP and not specifying ports. This did not initially work when I tried it immediately after a failed manual configuration.
However I was able to connect using just the basic IMAP configuration without going into the advance settings, but only after I closed Outlook and restarted the phone. Keep in mind I had tried this configuration at least twice before without luck. It almost seems like if you try a configuration and it fails, it does not reset or clear connection / cache without a restart.

No. I think I have disabled that (as most). But you could be right that this does not work.
