Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

    My Samsung app is working fine, I use Outlook for work (365)
    I think Microsoft are genuinely embarrassed to the level of not admitting to this issue, obviously not tested in QA. I suspect a silent update in a few days.

    The worst part is you wake in the morning thinking someone has hacked your email and changed the password.

    Welcome to the club.

    Mine is almost 2 years in the making and still no solution on the horizon.

    I now use BlueMail without a glitch.

    This issue has started again for me on August 24th. Refuses to login, even though nothing has changed.
    Account is working fine on other apps and webmail.

    Agreed. I have also moved to BlueMail.

    My Outlook for Android now only receives emails but refuses to send them.

    What a sorry situation.

    So sad!

    I'm also having the same issues, for the umpteenth time. I don't know why I've come back for more punishment at OfA. I was stupidly optimistic that it might be fixed by now.

    This morning I wasted more hours of my life trying to add my email accounts to OfA, and more time wasted dealing with the non-responsive 'support' bot.

    As usual, the tech support person simply vanished.

    I've been happily using BlueMail after giving up with OfA over a year ago, so I might as well stay with it.
