Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

    Yes. Same version 4.2039.4 on my Pixel 4. It works with settings I described earlier.

    Yes and nothing has changed for me. Still same problem.

    The Outlook app should work when you just fiil in the servers. Do not add a port to IMAP but add a port to SMPT. That could be :465 or :587 in most circumstances. STARTTLS works with 587. SSL/TLS works with 465 in most cases. You can find out through MXtoolbox.

    Your mailserver should be updated to support at least TLS1.2. 

    And port 143 is actually not used in secure e-mail. As ports 25 and 110  are also unused for security. IMAP/POP use 993 and 995. SSL/TLS use 465 and 587 in common situations.
