Outlook Android app cannot login IMAP email server.

This suddenly started yesterday 3/4/2020.

I have 3 email accounts on my android Outlook app. Outlook.com, Google, my ISP's. The problem only happens with my ISP (comcast.net, IMAP).

Till yesterday night, I can send/retrieve emails from the same server without an issue with Outlook app.

First I noticed Outlook requested to re-enter email password. But it failed. So I deleted account, then added. Failed. I even removed Outlook app and re-installed it. Failed. Google and Outlook account are just fine.

I didn't change anything from my side. I can access Comcast email from Web/Windows 10 mail and even from the same phone using Samsung standard email app.

What was changed and how to solve it? I can use Samsung standard email app but I like Outlook.

Has anyone tried the Nine client? I don't mind to pay the 15 USD if the IMAP works reliably, including notifications.

Hope you have better luck than me.  My settings only lasted 3 days before needing a reconfig.

You were right :-/ I've just got the famous "updating" message and the app is stuck again.

I think there is some problem with the additional IMAP folders Archive and Snooze. If you open Settings, the IMAP account and Additional Settings, there is the IMAP folders mapping screen. When it crashes, this setting is gone.

It had worked for three hours but now it no longer works even after restart and app data erase. It is terrible how Microsoft broke it.

My settings only lasted 3 days before needing a reconfig.   So it's still very difficult to configure imap, still doesn't persist for more  than a few days, still needs resetting/reinstalling to recover, and no clear acknowledgement from the dev team.  Surely this is damaging the Outlook brand.

That's not good. I'll report back after a week.
