I tried to post a question to this thread:
However the 'reply' seems to be greyed out when I try. So to continue...
When I press the 'battery' button on my Samsung android phone, it consistently says the outlook app is eating 60% of battery power. Similar to the last question in the previous thread; can microsoft advise please:-
a) when a fix for this will be published please? or
b) recommend an equivalent non microsoft product that works well connecting to outlook.com that doesn't voraciously eat battery power?
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you! I uninstalled it & reinstalled it & it solved the problem. Then I saw your post about it updating so I quickly turned off Auto-updates so it wouldn't update. Later on that night, I saw an update was available so I ignored it. Still working well!
I take it all back. Outlook has just updated itself and the saga has all started again!
Only solution seems to be to stop using Outlook.
Hi. I fixed it by deleting the app, restarting and reinstalling Outlook.
Same here. This hasn't always been the case but just recently since a recent update it has been killing my battery! My battery will go from 80% down to 60% in less than 2 hours just sitting without me using it. When I check battery use it says Outlook is the culprit. They need to fix this!
