Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Thank you for the try... it was definitely worth a shot! But, unfortunately, it was a no-go for me. My computer doesn't even have an "action center". ):

Whilst using Windows 10 Pro, I am receiving notifications in the notification centre when I have received a new email in Outlook. However, when I click the email in the notification centre it does not open the email.
Please can you help sort this issue. Followed all other forums etc. and these have not helped solve my issue.

Microsoft obviously does not care to fix this problem, or many others like it, there's tons of posts about this issue and they do what you're seeing here--they play dumb like the problem doesn't exist. You probably won't see this fixed for the foreseeable future because it's not "revenue affecting". MS is the absolute world's worst at fixing problems. That's the new thing now in how software is built, it's called "Agile Development". It basically means they roll out a product as fast as humanly possible and fix the bugs later. Until we stop buying their product we will continue to see this stuff for years and years to come. No other industry gets away with this other than technology.
Any luck with this yet? I forget after reading all 7 pages, did anyone try a clean uninstall and reinstall? I have some end users this is affecting and it is driving me bananas.
Microsoft has been a ghost on this growing issue.?
Interesting people! I just got an email, notification popped up in the lower right corner. I clicked it, the outlook icon in task bar started blinking, I clicked on it, and there was another window with the email in it; however, the window only "poped up" when I clicked on it via the task bar.......
so its like a half functioning notification now?
