Whilst using Windows 10 Pro, I am receiving notifications in the notification centre when I have received a new email in Outlook. However, when I click the email in the notification centre it does not open the email.

Please can you help sort this issue. Followed all other forums etc. and these have not helped solve my issue.

I have just received this from Microsoft support - maybe they can provide more detail to all of us with this problem???

We analyzed the logs and found that the issue you have is something which has been fixed in future update as the updates have already been released to selected group of users

The Outlook version and the build that you have, has not received that particular update yet.

There is not particular ETA as to when the update will be received on your Outlook but once your Outlook gets updated, the issue will be taken care of.

Therefore, we request that as of now, just wait and continue to use outlook as normal and once it gets updated, the issue will be sorted out.

    Thanks

Same issue.  Windows 10 Pro, Office 365, all latest updates as of the day of this post.

Click on the notification, the email opens in a new window but that window is not made the active window.  It just opens and is behind everything else.

Same here, and this has been working fine before. Now, when you click the pop-up notification just opens the email in the background and you need to switch to the window yourself ?!?

I have had this problem since an MS update. Never offered any solution from MS on this.  I had to hire a tech guy to come and uninstall outlook and windows 10, then reinstall it all again.  Now the pop ups function.  They are not as good or "stable" as before but they do open when you click on them. This issue is so obviously an MS caused item. And very disappointingly, the newer version of this feature is a step back from the original.
