Outlook Notification Centre - Emails won't open

Whilst using Windows 10 Pro, I am receiving notifications in the notification centre when I have received a new email in Outlook. However, when I click the email in the notification centre it does not open the email. 

Please can you help sort this issue. Followed all other forums etc. and these have not helped solve my issue.

    Hello Lewis MacLennan,

    Thanks for sharing the further information via Private message, we have checked the logs but didn't found any information for this issue occurrence.  May I know have you configure Outlook profile with our test account, what’s the result?

    Thanks for reply. To narrow down the issue ,we would like to suggest you to reproduce the issue and collect PSR(step record) logs and share via the Private Message.

    Also we will share our test account information via Private message, kindly configure outlook profile with it and check the result.

    I have tried all the solutions suggested and my issue still exists. 

    Is there any other solutions you have to try and solve the problem?
