Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Thank you for the try... it was definitely worth a shot! But, unfortunately, it was a no-go for me. My computer doesn't even have an "action center". ):

Whilst using Windows 10 Pro, I am receiving notifications in the notification centre when I have received a new email in Outlook. However, when I click the email in the notification centre it does not open the email.
Please can you help sort this issue. Followed all other forums etc. and these have not helped solve my issue.

I tried it, was hopeful but it didn't work. Bummer
Nice thought - but unfortunately still does not work. Other notifications will allow a click to open - e.g. snip & sketch another Microsoft product!
Official Support ticket closed as they have given up and asked me to pay for resolution, which is really nice of them.
Its an issue that has been introduced by trying to add features to something that was working fine and now its broken.
And merely a year of complaints!!
It appears to be the action center notifications that stopped working. If you un-check the "Show notifications in action center" checkbox and leave the "Show notification banners" checkbox checked, clicking on the notification seems to work. Not an optimal solution, but at least gets the functionality back in real-time. Still unable to open the e-mail address if looking at historic notifications in the action center. Annoying.
Same! I'm so glad i'm not alone. :) Hopefully they fix this soon.
