Whilst using Windows 10 Pro, I am receiving notifications in the notification centre when I have received a new email in Outlook. However, when I click the email in the notification centre it does not open the email.

Please can you help sort this issue. Followed all other forums etc. and these have not helped solve my issue.

So after an uninstall and reinstall the functionality has returned.   I had to turn the toast notifications back on, but it works.   Good luck all.

    okay I just did this.

    with outlook opened

go to notifications & actions in windows 10, turn off outlook notifications.

now turn outlook notifications back on.

    Closed outlook

    opened outlook

    went to file/options/mail in outlook

    I unchecked "display a desktop"

    recheck "display a desktop"

sent myself a test email, the notification popped up with a sound, I clicked on it, the email popped up........

Can anybody else try this and verify if it worked for them?

EDIT: my solution ended up not working anymore after a few hours....... uninstall/reinstall seems to be best choice.

Here is something new.  if you open the action center  (windows+A) and click on an email, it will pop up for me........

Wonder why the notification icon when clicked now shows a minimized outlook icon, but the action center will actually pop it up...

The duration of the pop up can be changed in ease of access center.   In the display secrion scroll down under simplify and personalize windows and chanhe show notifications for to longer than 5 seconds.   30 seems to work well for us.   Doesnt seem to actually show for 30 seconds, but it is manageable.   Now i just need the darn email to open when i click on it for one person.....
