Outlook 2016 "open in new window" doesn't remember size

Hi Everyone,

since yesterday my Outlook 2016 via Office 365 (64bit Version 1808 Build 10730.20102) does not remember the size of a new window opened -> e.g. Calendar or Tasks.

Everytime I resize it, close it and reopen it, it will open in a smaller Window on the wrong postion.

I have rebooted, started in Outlook in safe mode, disabled all Add-Ins and also reinstalled Office ... nothing helped.

This is really annoying and I need a fix for this.

Example:

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For home

I wish they would fix this asap. I have the same issue with all Office Apps.

According to MS this was never a feature that Window Size and Position would be saved.

I personally know that it worked for the last 20+ years without being a formal feature.

    So Microsoft: Fix this !!!

For them to say window size and position was never a feature implies that a new window should open based on default settings.  Default then, by default, is a feature. So Microsoft, what did you change in the default settings and how can we manipulate the changes?

    HI Andy

This is to thank you for doing the legwork with this pile.

I have had the same problem for probably a couple of months now Win10 and Office 365.

It  appeared overnight probably with an upgrade.

    The problem is bearable.

What is not bearable is the process  that consumers have to suffer to get the writers to fix something that was never ever a problem in the past.

    Good luck.

Maybe a fix will appear overnight with the blessing of the magic fairy.

Thanks, somebody has to do it ...

Yeah appeared over night as well. Still MS thinks this was never supposed to work the way we were used to it.

This feels like everyone working on Windows and Office was let go and a new team is running the show not having a clue what was supposed to work and what not

This makes MS look like some backyard software company run by students ... just lacking the agility.

Anyway let's hope someone feels encouraged to change this ....

    Hi Jennifer,

any news ? Nothing new on the uservoice Forum. Only a few comments that approx 22k users of a bank face the similar issue.

Is that a good reason now for MS to actually look into this issue ?

    Thanks

    Regards
