Outlook calendar 'changes' appointment into a meeting after editing.

AJ, when I just now tested Windows Mail and Calendar it converted an Appointment into a Meetings after I edited with my iPhone.   When I use my iPhone to edit an Appointment, my temporary Workaround is using Outlook Desktop app to delete and re-create the Appointment when I get back to my computer.  Today I used the Contact Support feature of Outlook Desktop App to remind Support that the problem is continuing. Windows Mail is not as fully featured as Outlook for Desktop (see link below for a comparison).

AJ, I was using Office 2016 until I purchased a subscription to Office 365 Home on 3/29/2018. I switched to Office 365 to get benefit of continuous updates. I started experiencing problem of Appointments being converted into Meetings started after the April update to Office 365.  Therefore, your plan to switch from Office 2016 to Office 365 may not fix the problem. FFS! I'm trying to get around the issue by using the in-built Mail app for Windows 10 which is way better than it used to be. Outlook.com and gmail.com load fine but my work addresses not so much, (so another) FFS.

AJ, please report result if you reinstall Outlook on your computer. It will be very helpful to me and other users to know whether re-installing Outlook eliminates the problem of Appointments being converted into Meetings. Thanks.

Will do MG. I uninstalled my outlook.com account from Exchange that feeds into Outlook 2016 and reinstalled it. No change. I'll be uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office on Friday to test that and will update this thread. If that doesn't work I have access to Office 365 which, as I understand, seems to work fine with other apps, platforms and devices.

Anyone else have any other ideas we could try? It does seems to be an issue that MS should be working to solve??
