How to stop calendar notifications repeating every single minute

I use the Outlook app for android App-version 2.2.19 (225) mainline.

When I have a meeting with a reminder 15 minutes before the meeting, I get a notification - this is OK. I then get a reminder 14 minutes before too - not OK. I then get another reminder 13 minutes before - not OK. This goes on. So unless I take action I get 15 notifications. Like most I have my phone in my pocket. I typically recognize the notification without taking my phone out of my pocket.

At least it should be configurable to have 1 or all 15 notifications. I would think most would like to have one notification per meeting.

Best

Hello Everyone - This post is almost a year old now, and as we noticed some folks reporting this issue recently (July/Aug timeframe), we went back and looked if there is any such known issue or bug on our side, we didn't find any. Then we tried to reproduce it with current and older Android devices using latest Outlook app from the store - we were not able to reproduce it either.

So at this time, if you still see this issue with the latest version of Outlook app on your device, then please contact the in-app support for Outlook. Support gets latest logs from your device when you use in-app support, which helps in investigation of an issue. See instructions in this article: Get in-app help for Outlook for iOS and Android - We do want to investigate this issue for a possible fix, but we can only do that if you report it thru in-app support and then work with our Support team. Thank you! (post updated on 8/16/2018)

I'm having this problem as well, it's incredibly annoying.  My Outlook is version 2.2.131 on an Essential PH-1.  It often happens more frequently than once a minute, and it often continues for the full length of the meeting, and even for some time after the meeting has ended.  Yesterday I got at least 20 notifications, up to the point where it was notifying me over and over that my meeting had ended 15 minutes ago.

It only started happening recently.  I have update Outlook version I think twice (so happened on 3 different SW versions?).  I have reset account multiple times.  I have completely removed and reinstalled Outlook multiple times.  I usually get 1 or 2 days off, then it comes back.

Please give me some way to get rid of this.

Hi thanks for getting back to me!

i would love to upgrade to your said version, but the google playstore does not have version 2.2.131. the newest one avaiable ist 2.2.128, i checked on both my mobile phone and on the web.

that being said i did not have 2.2.128 yet but also it did not appear in updates in my play store, i had to search manually for microsoft outlook and only then saw that there is an update avaiable, weird^^ but thanks for making me try it manually i will see if that helped in a few minutes.

also the problem with many notifications happens for me if i create the event on my own. i just did one yesterday and today i got notified 15 times about it^^

update 2.2.128 did bring up another issue when trying to edit a calender event it opens up a blank screen, but i take it this will be fixed in 2.2.131 so i will keep an eye out for that.

EDIT: it still does occur on 2.2.128!

    Hi LarsBrand,

I tried reproducing the issue using the Outlook version 2.2.131 (256), and the issue did not occur. That being said, I recommend updating your Outlook to the said version if it's not yet on that version.

Also, does the issue happen if the meeting was created by you or by another person?

Please post back with the result for further assistance.
