How to stop calendar notifications repeating every single minute

I use the Outlook app for android App-version 2.2.19 (225) mainline.

When I have a meeting with a reminder 15 minutes before the meeting, I get a notification - this is OK. I then get a reminder 14 minutes before too - not OK. I then get another reminder 13 minutes before - not OK. This goes on. So unless I take action I get 15 notifications. Like most I have my phone in my pocket. I typically recognize the notification without taking my phone out of my pocket.

At least it should be configurable to have 1 or all 15 notifications. I would think most would like to have one notification per meeting.

Hello Everyone - This post is almost a year old now, and as we noticed some folks reporting this issue recently (July/Aug timeframe), we went back and looked if there is any such known issue or bug on our side, we didn't find any. Then we tried to reproduce it with current and older Android devices using latest Outlook app from the store - we were not able to reproduce it either.

So at this time, if you still see this issue with the latest version of Outlook app on your device, then please contact the in-app support for Outlook. Support gets latest logs from your device when you use in-app support, which helps in investigation of an issue. See instructions in this article: Get in-app help for Outlook for iOS and Android - We do want to investigate this issue for a possible fix, but we can only do that if you report it thru in-app support and then work with our Support team.     I've now updated Outlook to version 2.2.131 (256). The problem still occurs and is still really annoying.

    All meetings with notifications are notified by the phone each and every minute. From the time of the first notification until the meeting has ended. If I don't dismiss the notification until the meeting is over, no additional notifications will be created, but then the phone keeps flashing its status led to show I have unattended notifications.

    It doesn't matter if I or someone else created the meeting and invited me, they all behave the same way.

    I did not have the same problem with my old Nexus 5X phone, which run Android Oreo and with similar settings, accounts and installed apps.

    Do I have to start using another mail/calendar app? It rather seems that way.

    Current setup:

    Phone: OnePlus 5T (OnePlus A5010)

    Android: 8.0.0 (OxygenOS 5.0.4)

    Outlook: version 2.2.131 (256)

    I have had the same problem for at least the past year but the in-app support has refused to acknowledge it, asking me to wipe my Gear and Android and re-install everything.  I am glad to see MS is now finally recognizing the problem.

    Another related detail:  I am getting the every minute nags on the Gear.  Before Oreo it appeared I could dismiss them at least.  Now, I cannot even dismiss them without repeating continuously.  However, if I just touch the power button on my phone (turning the screen on, but still on lock screen), the last dismiss request will now be accepted and the notifications will stop.  Very strange.

    Same problem. For me it's my Gear S3 that vibrates every minute leading up to a meeting. This recently 

    Outlook version 2.2.131

    Android version 8.0.0

    Phone: Galaxy S8

    I followed the link to the bug that was raised a couple of days ago, and that is marked as completed and no way to vote that up. Does that mean this is not being investigated?
