How to stop calendar notifications repeating every single minute

I use the Outlook app for android App-version 2.2.19 (225) mainline.

When I have a meeting with a reminder 15 minutes before the meeting, I get a notification - this is OK. I then get a reminder 14 minutes before too - not OK. I then get another reminder 13 minutes before - not OK. This goes on. So unless I take action I get 15 notifications. Like most I have my phone in my pocket. I typically recognize the notification without taking my phone out of my pocket.

At least it should be configurable to have 1 or all 15 notifications. I would think most would like to have one notification per meeting.

Hello Everyone - This post is almost a year old now, and as we noticed some folks reporting this issue recently (July/Aug timeframe), we went back and looked if there is any such known issue or bug on our side, we didn't find any. Then we tried to reproduce it with current and older Android devices using latest Outlook app from the store - we were not able to reproduce it either.

So at this time, if you still see this issue with the latest version of Outlook app on your device, then please contact the in-app support for Outlook. Support gets latest logs from your device when you use in-app support, which helps in investigation of an issue. See instructions in this article: Get in-app help for Outlook for iOS and Android - We do want to investigate this issue for a possible fix, but we can only do that if you report it thru in-app support and then work with our Support team.     Just installed Outlook again for the first time in ages.

    Now I remember why I don't use it. This stupid issue is so frustrating. I have a Pebble smart watch, and this makes my wrist vibrate every minute for 15 minutes before every work meeting.

    Going to have to uninstall again and use something else.

    I like the idea of being notified multiple times, but every minute is excessive. Is there a way to be notified 15 minutes before, 5 minutes before, and then at the time of the event?

    I'm in the same boat. Corporate policy won't let me access my emails with anything but Outlook. It seems like my best chance is to lobby the company to migrate to GSuite. My daily frustration level would certainly benefit from it tremendously.

    After trying the wishful workarounds like uninstall-reinstall etc., and marveling at a premiere branded program from a large company messaging me every minute for hours after meetings, I finally managed to solve this problem: I uninstalled Outlook Mobile and now use a better-supported mail reader.

    Unfortunately, my corporate policy has condemned me to this hell.  However, my workaround is helping me partially for now: if I dismiss the reminder on my Gear and then click on the power button on my phone, the reminder will not return.  I don't know why the phone needs to be touched in that way but it may indicate that it is in some kind of sleep to acknowledging the Gear response.  It even does this if the phone is unlocked.  Of course, I don't need to do this on any other apps with reminders that show up on Gear.
