Attaching pictures in the recent update of outlook app on android are inline and not as attachments.
Could you please help!!

I finally have someone at Microsoft interested in this issue. Microsoft believes that the app works the same as Outlook in a browser, which is not true. They also believe that if you add photos from a Onedrive account it is added as an attachment, which is also untrue. They are now looking in to it.
I managed to raise the issue by going to the app, clicking on the three lines top left, click on the question mark, click on contact support.
If enough people do this, we might get it fixed.
Tried this. I got a regular rep. One that says it's by design. Your guy must be new.

Wow...was just forced to switch to the outlook app for work and noticed this issue. I send multiple pics to myself through email all the time. Came here looking for answers because I figured there was a setting I was unaware of. What a major major major disappointment it is to found out about this major limitation. I hope you listen to your users and put a fix in for this.
Same here, the organization I am working for uses outlook had to send a picture for issuance of identity card found out this issue. First thought this isnt possible and I might be doing something wrong as I had always been using gmail but stumbled upon this thread and rest is history.
