Suddenly, I believe sometime in October this started happening to me. Now the email body is filled with images when I try to send images using Outlook. I have a second email app on my phone, so I used this app to send the image as an attachment to my outlook email. Pretty ridiculous, but it worked.

That doesn't work for me. I think it's helpful to understand that Microsoft do not see this as an issue but think the inability to attach pictures is a benefit to users. It really is quite incredible.

    SOLUTION:

Save the file to Drive on your phone. Send it from Drive.

Would much prefer if Outlook would fix this aggravating issue.

Found this thread after searching on the inline image problem - this only started for me a few weeks ago. Before that, always attachments. It's both reassuring and disappointing to see that so many people are experiencing the same issue :(

An additional problem for me is that not only are the images placed inline but have been stretched to the point that they are unrecognisable to the recipient.

Tried reinstalling Outlook but didn't help. Has resizing affected anyone else? Thanks

PROBLEM IS BACK TODAY! I was tearing my hair out about his problem a few months ago. Like millions of other people, I take photos with my phone and then email them to myself to edit on pro software. Having to download by USB is a giant pain. Suddenly this problem resolved itself and the pictures were again getting attached to my Android phone Outlook emails. As of today, the photos are again being automatically placed 'inline' to the email body instead of being attached. Now I've wasted an hour online trying to find a solution that isn't ridiculously convoluted. Seems there isn't one.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO SPEND ON THIS STUPID PROBLEM?! HOW ABOUT REVERSING THIS STUPID POLICY CHANGE, MICROSOFT?
