Why do Modified outlook meetings get canceled?

For some reason, when the owner of an event makes any sort of change (adding/deleting a member or adding a url), the event gets canceled for me instead of just being modified. The owner even sees that everyone else in the event is still in it but for some reason, it got canceled just for me. any idea why the event gets canceled only for me when a modification occurs to an event?

    Hello Mitchell,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I see it. You are not invited into that calendar event.

Given this situation, we'd like to know if you had set any automatic replies policy? Please see:

You can go to OWA > Settings > Mail > Automatic replies to check it.

Meanwhile, please change the devices like mouse, keyboard, and so on to check it.

Also, please involve your admin turn off the Exchange Online and the Skype for Business Online license under your Office 365 account in admin center, and then turn them on to check if the issue persists?

    Regards,

    Rudy

so we went ahead and did what you asked and restarted the license. he also saw some weird thing Microsoft flow free and then he turned off and on my office enterprise e3... after doing that, I went ahead and removed the account on the Mac outlook client and readied my account and did the test... the issue still persists

    Hello Mitchell,

    Thanks for your information.

If possible, please involve your admin to turn off the calendar assistant which always automatically process the invitation emails via the Windows PowerShell cmdlet:

    Get-Mailbox -Identity "user name" | Set-CalendarProcessing -AutomateProcessing:'none'

Note: We know you don't have any Windows platform in your organization, please try it.

Also, please check if the add-ins on your OWA and then capture a screenshot about the installed add-in for us to check it:

We appreciate your time and patience.

    Regards,

    Rudy
