Why do Modified outlook meetings get canceled?

Thanks for your information. As you mentioned if you don't respond to that new invitation, the same name doesn't appear. In this situation, whether you can normally join that meeting?

Meanwhile, It is a good point that we need to know why you will get a new invitation even though you had responded this meeting before. Let's go on.

1. Please check if the "Delete invitations and response that have been updated" option have been checked on OWA > Settings > Calendar > Automatic processing > Invitations. Note: this option is checked by default.
2. Please refer to this article to enable logging in Outlook for Mac on you and the meeting organizer side, and then send us the logs for us to check it. We'd like to collect the logs via private message for privacy concern.

No, the second name does not appear until I respond to the email asking me if I want to accept the modification to the calendar meeting invite. It is confusing to me why I am even getting that email that a person was added to the calendar invite when no one else gets that invite.

Thanks for your information. It seems the two same names cause this issue. If you don't response that new invite in Scenario 2 and step 2, are there two same names appear?

Ok! for scenario 1, everything was fine. what I did, I made a meeting with someone and then after it was made, added someone else. the only difference we noted was that I did not have the option to only send to those affected.

this is what it looked like for her when I sent out the update:

Scenario 2... Something I noticed and will put in all the photos. No links to Zoom or anything was added.

what we did step by step:

1.someone (call her Ramsey) made a meeting with just me. everything looked fine.

2.she added someone named Jordan to this fake calendar invite. she sent to only those affected but I still got an email. the email THIS time was NOT a cancellation but a email to accept the new invite. I went ahead and pressed YES. 

3. Then she went to go remove the person Jordan to see if I would get the cancellation BUT before removing her she noticed there all of a sudden was 2 of me in this photo

4. She then removed only Jordan leaving only my two names. and I got a cancelation email that looks like this:5. She then wanted to delete the fake calendar meeting and this time it only showed only one of my names, not two as it did in step 3

Thanks for your information. Since we don't familiar with that third party conference service, can you please help us test the following two scenario and let us know the phenomenon?

1. You make meeting invites and then update the meeting.
2. Your colleague makes meeting invites and then update the meeting.

Note: Please don't add the Zoom conference number in the meeting.
