Why do Modified outlook meetings get canceled?

1. yes, that is accurate. this happens all the time and this happens ONLY to me. for example, if there is a meeting with 50 attendants and after it is made, the organizer just adds 1 person to make it 51... it then adds the person but cancels the meeting for me. I then receive an email that it canceled for me and the organizer also gets an email that I canceled. 
2. that is correct. This change comes from the outlook web app and just shows the exact same thing on the Mac mail app.
3. yes this issue occurs only to me and yes, only my company office 365 outlook email. 

Last question, no, this happens to all meeting organizers (confirmed it happened to 3 different organizers in the last 2 weeks)

We are using outlook 365. I am using the mail application on Mac but even going through the mail application through the office 365 website shows the same issue. It was not canceled since the other like 10-15 members did not show cancelations on their end, only mine. this has been happening for months already with all different types of meetings. I now decided to ask here why this is happening. But this is an isolated case from what it seems compared to my colleagues since there mail meetings are always fine.

I have a similar issue, as an event owner. I modified several events by changing the invitation list (removing someone who did not reply, and adding two new people). O365 sent meeting cancellations to some (but not all) of the people who orginally replied "Yes," as well as the people who declined. The people who had not replied received modified events. 

Is the safest way to make sure the modified event gets on everyone's calendar to delete it entirely and create a new event?

sorry, been a bit busy at work. no, the issues still happen even with the mobile removed on my account. In regards to editing events on my side, I never do that. the events always get modified by the project manager. I rarely ever make meetings to need to modify them.. I am not using the Mac email/calendar client anymore, I am using the official outlook Mac app.

I have no idea why I would need to make a new thread. I find it incredible that nobody was able to figure out my issue still. I am still experiencing the exact issue described in the topic title and description of this original post. To explain my issue again: "when the owner of an event makes any sort of change (adding/deleting a member or adding a url), the event gets canceled for me instead of just being modified. The owner even sees that everyone else in the event is still in it but for some reason, it got canceled just for me. any idea why the event gets canceled only for me when a modification occurs to an event?".... this is EXACTLY what is still happening.
